“The Crucible of the Soul”🔥🌬💦
All that one must endure, as part of this experience of life, worketh as an ordeal and an obstacle to overcome, such that the difficulty may be converted to good. My very being, as my mind, body, and soul💠, is like unto a crucible, as a vast reservoir that can take in and absorb all the evils and temptations of this life. This receptacle of my soul💠, or my Spirit, is rather analogous to like a sort or factory or machine, through which I may filter all things such that they may come out clean, pure, and sanctified. At the most central core of my being, as my heart and soul💠, there is the Tree of Life in my mental Zen Garden of my mind’s Eye💠, of Eden. This Tree of Life contains my trust in God. All elements of existence, and of the wretchedness of this world, are cycled through my internal understanding💠 as I live through such evils and challenges in order to gain personal experience and firsthand knowledge of these difficulties. Because my factual knowledge of God rests at the heart💠 of me, there is no lingering doubt to work against my belief in His power of good, to work miracles and surmount all such challenges within me.

“Our Father: In Circulation”❣️✒️📰
In sacrificing my comfort, wellbeing, my selfhood, my honor, my ego, my life, indeed, all things, I may act as the willing vessel, or participant, necessary for God to bring all things to Light, by first bringing them into me as the darkness, or evil, that they are naturally. As I passively, willingly, obsequiously even, accept all of these hardships, profanities, and impurities of sin, evil, and devastation, as they are laid upon me, my quintessential trust in God, as my Rock💠 and foundation, allows all these horrors to work their wrath within me, but then come to that standstill upon God Himself, as my innermost Ally and ultimate understanding💠 of what exists. Thus, as I let all these evils within myself, and allow them to work their destruction upon me from the inside-out, I must shoulder the entailed pain and agony of my sacrifice, but once the Pendulum, of my eternal “Grand Father Clock” of our Heavenly Father, reaches its axle-tree at my center, then my stronghold of faith, as my vast reservoir of devout and steadfast trust in His love, transmutes any and all such evils, as if from lead unto pure gold. Almost as if of alchemy, the Word of love, as like unto the philosopher’s Stone💠, carries the unconquerable impact of the truth, of the Almighty power of God, and so necessarily always transforms and converts any evils unto good, through the overriding influence of the purest of all His virtues. Indeed, all elements of existence, are called back unto the loving hands of their Creator, as God works within the Holy Trinity towards a consecration of all life, in striving to make all things blessed, holy, and acceptable for eternity, sanctified by circulation through His highest form, breathed and bled, in the Spirit of Love.

“Hypostasis:🌓Dualistic Nature of Christ”
There is a constant struggle at work in all things and within all strivings, as part of a deep inner conflict divinely placed and inherent in all of existence. As the part of this dualistic nature of all things, God is inextricably interwoven in spirit throughout all of His creation, but simultaneously, the material, or non-spiritual aspect of life, is also present, as the naturally opposing elements needed to reveal God’s light. Thus, in all things and at all times, there is both good and evil, as there cannot be either without the distinction between the two. The evils are absolutely essential, as they provide the opposing force necessary against which for the good to strive, to exert its influence and thus reveal itself.

“Consecrated unto Unity”🌔🌞🌈
All the meaning in my life suddenly disappears when I start to feel a slackness in this inner-struggle between God and man, as the instinct and striving of the Spirit within my soul💠 to at once unite with God’s will of selfless virtue, whilst also pressing and buffeting against the selfishness and instincts of the self, or the ego, as it’s own sinful desires of the flesh. In dedicating my heart💠 to God, and trusting upon Him beyond any seeming earthly reality, I choose His unlimited power of miracles over the limitations of the world, as the laws of man or physics. When I allow God the full use of my body and mind, the entirely of my soul💠, I offer Him my Spirit in the unblemished purity of unwavering belief and unfaltering love so that He may use my being as a crucible for His Own purposes of soul💠 conversion. We feed into this system of my Eye💠 all of the darkness We can muster, because there is no recourse for evil within me, as it all eventually lands upon the truth of God’s love at my axis, as my center💠 of gravity, and is immediately converted to His overpowering will of perfect love, as it is absorbed by and then infiltrated with that same goodness. God, in the most potent pinnacle of His essence, is unconquerable, and when I allow that version of His will, of perfect, indefatigable charity, or love, to work its influence upon the evils that I willingly subject myself to and allow to infiltrate the interior system of my soul💠, I endure the agony and bear the brunt of those evils myself, but inevitably, that perfection of “God as love” collides with those evils, and they then circulate within my Eye💠 and are transmuted, or healed, by understanding💠, and changed to love.

🌈”Rising with the Phoenix”💦🎀🏰
Only by my willingness to provide the vessel of sacrifice, to willingly take the dive to Hell and submit to that harsh treatment, as to uncover, delve into, and experience all those evils, can We bring them into contact with the love of God that lives within me. I know of God’s eternal love as the great fact of Life, and so when I subject myself to the fires of Hell or sin, it is only a matter of Time before that power of God is unleashed therein, and they are recovered in my rescuing Arms to the glittering surface of the soul’s💠 abyss, and thus healed by the holy revelation of the refreshing Light of God, in a victorious and sparkling splash of resplendent glory. As a volunteer for this rescue mission of the soul💠, one must exist primarily as love, being previously consecrated by the first death, the bodily death of the flesh, unto the eternal Life of the theological virtues. Only through love, as God’s perfectness of charity, are all things possible, which divine love only survives as it abides, solely and dependently, upon God’s will, of goodness, and not self-will. In passing through the crucible of the fires of fervently impassioned power, as the emotional reservoir of the Almighty God, all that ever emerges is the perfection of His love, rising to the surface in the warm air of the Spirit, with the triumphant fanning ushered forth from the eternal wingspan of a Phoenix, proclaiming the glory of God to the beating of His heart.

As I descend into the depths of my own mortality and the human wretchedness of evil and sin, as that “human nature” of man when he is distinguished as being a separate entity and distinct from God, I can feel the tide of emotionality as like unto a maelstrom of volatile passions. I view this “watering hole” of humanity, or the ebb and flow of human emotions and self-based reactions to the tug and pull of life, as like a stormy ocean of vast and elemental, electric and inspiring energy. This wellspring of the passions of man, is the dark side of nature, as the force of this electric current of the ego and its desires.

This vast and wild ocean of the moon’s feminine emotionality, is constantly at work within me, as a fuel, an impetus of propulsion, a source of energy and a deep reservoir of inspiration, and the fountain of eternal Life to my imagination and my Word, providing me with the muse of a mysterious moonbeam to complement and display, or highlight, the effect of the Sun, revealing the glory of Christ’s Light of prudence and self-restraint, which provides the necessary discipline of the will within the workings of my soul💠. I cannot reside within the indulgences of the fiery emotional side of my nature, nor stray too far therein, but rather, simply work off of that energy for a source of direction and purpose, as providing the motivation to attain the perfect serenity of the Light of God. In addition to being the source and lifeblood of my passions of love, the energies of my emotional nature are also the source of my passions of agony, and any such passions, as bearing the changeability of the ego, must be avoided as a source of instability, which works to counteract the steadiness of altruistic strivings within the realm of the will. In dwelling within the elemental energy of this eternal river, of the inspiration, thoughts, and ideas brought forth from these paths of emotionally-charged thought patterns, I am also thrust into the waves of self-will, or the subjective and ego-directed aspect of my dualistic psyche, and I become fully at the mercy of my own temperamental, and innately tumultuous, mortal instability. I have the freedom and leeway of a lack of self-restraint to run wild with the ups and downs, as the pleasures and pains, of my human nature, or the corruptibility of my standing as upon my own flimsy footing, by fastening my reins or direction upon my own streaming self-will, and thus being led by the violence and instability of that internal tide, of the mortal emotions of man, rather than the incorruptible Rock💠 and steadfast foundation of God’s will.

My constant striving, is to remain aloft of that ocean of human nature, as it has all the sustainability and steadfastness of a shifting sand castle. I instead fasten my reins and my objectives within the realm of the will, or of deliberate choice and moral intentions, rather than let my psyche run astray in the realm of the ego’s emotional reactions and waves of desire. I try to allow my mind to dwell upon and linger within my understanding💠 of God’s will, as an objective and selfless view of the world, rather than within the self-derived, selfish perspective of self-will, meaning, how the world affects me in my own subjective experience of the world. When I focus my mind upon how I feel about something, or upon what I think about the impact that something upon me, I am then made subject to self-will and the volatility and undependability of my own emotional reactions to my experience of life. When I instead place the focus of my mind upon God, as an objective, I can remain firm and steadfast in the midst of emotional tumult through being grounded in the will, or in the realm of reason and the disciplined tenets of the Commandments of the Lord.

When I follow after the dictates of virtue, or what God’s will of altruistic love would entail, I can grasp upon that “Pendulum,” within me, as like a rope ladder to Heaven, or a Jacob’s Ladder within the central axis of my being and at the core of my soul💠. When I cling to the realm of the will, and resist acting within the realm of emotion, I can slow and steady the whirlwind of distress within me through relinquishing myself to that Rock💠, that Pendulum, of my faith, hope, and trust upon God’s love.

I often feel as like a typhoon of emotional reactivity, but when this distress washes over me, I can choose to let it carry me away in its waves of wroth emotionality, as the self-will of the ego’s expression, or I can resist my selfish impulses, and refrain, restrain myself, and summon up within my mind💠 my vision and hope for God as my Savior and my Hero, to save me from myself and my distress, or my sinfulness of reactions to the evils of life. The closer that I remain to the core of my being, of the truth of “God as love” at my center, the more gently this Pendulum💠 within me swings, as I align to the Stars of the soul💠, and the more at peace I become. I try my best to reside, to stay centered, and to abide, within my serenity of God’s will, at the heart💠 of my soul💠 as God’s Eye💠, and thus, through resisting self-will and the moon’s impetus of emotional reactions, or the sins of thought within the mind, I am granted the privilege of existing as God wills me to, in the perfection of the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love.

👼”Theological Virtues”
Theological virtues are virtues associated in Christian theology and philosophy with salvation resulting from the grace of God.Virtues are traits or qualities which dispose one to conduct oneself in a morally good manner. Traditionally they have been named faith, hope, and charity, and can trace their importance in Christian theology to Paul the Apostle in 1 Corinthians 13, who also pointed out charity is the most important.
The medieval Catholic philosopher Thomas Aquinas explained that these virtues are called theological virtues “because they have God for their object, both in so far as by them we are properly directed to Him, and because they are infused into our souls by God alone, as also, finally, because we come to know of them only by Divine revelation in the Sacred Scriptures”.

A person receives the theological virtues by their being “infused”—through Divine grace—into the person. The theological virtues are so named because their object is the divine being (theos).
* Faith is the infused virtue, by which the intellect, by a movement of the will, assents to the supernatural truths of Revelation, not on the motive of intrinsic evidence, but on the sole ground of the infallible authority of God revealing.[3] According to Hugh Pope “[W]hat God says is supremely credible, though not necessarily supremely intelligible for us.”
* Hope is defined as a Divinely infused virtue, acts upon the will, by which one trusts, with confidence grounded on the Divine assistance, to attain life everlasting. Its opposite is the sin of despair.

In taking it upon oneself to strive towards God, and towards God alone, as to seek after righteousness in performing none other than His Own will of altruism, one must necessarily sacrifice the self, or any interest in acclaim, earthly achievement, or personal merit, to derive real spiritual fruit from this most holy of all endeavors.

One must only ever seek to find favor in God’s Eyes💠 and only in God’s Eyes💠, because to strive for any glory, or personal esteem or goodness in one’s own sight, or in the hearts and eyes of man, one then effectively renounces any claim to favor in the Eyes💠 of God. One necessarily must forsake all of one’s personal assets, stakes of self-worth in the human ego, and any claim to credit or value of one’s own right, if one is to know the goodness of the Lord. The glory of God, as the assurance of His favor and approval, and knowledge of His presence, is only made manifest when it is upheld in all it’s shining splendor through a singular vision, or a single-hearted focus, as unhindered by the defilement of man in his self-centered mortal strivings of the ego. God will not and cannot compete with the inferior and unworthy wiles or fancies of man, but He is so gentle that He would not trample upon man’s endeavors, nor impinge upon the human freewill of His children, but rather, when the will of man is desirous after its own finite and fleeting glory, as from merely mortal achievements, God will simply bow out, and allow man to take center stage, if that so be his will. If, however, in a pure-hearted vision, one’s Eye💠 is set in singleness towards God, in striving for the revelation of His Own glory, and the opportunity to allow the Father Almighty to demonstrate His Own immortal and unfathomable power of miracles, instead of set towards seeking one’s own personal gain or advancement through intending upon the ego-bolstering displays of vanity, as deriving pride or prestige from one’s own mortal abilities, one may thus provide the humility, and the open channel of self-sacrifice within one’s soul💠, that are required to know God, as a real Person.

In seeking to know God, one must conform to His image, through adhering to His Commandments and following after His Own will, which is of selfless giving and perfect, charitable love, as such that knows no bounds. Thus, in developing a real connection with God the Father, one must offer a token of goodwill, as a show of good faith. The only such token that conforms to the image that Christ laid out in the tenets of the Scriptures, is that of self-sacrifice for the salvation of others. Thus, in a true display of selfless giving, one must not only make the choice to bear the burdens of the world, and to take on both the sins and harms from others upon one’s own shoulders, but also, one must bear these burdens of wrongfully-received scorn and unjustified suffering without ever letting on, so that it might remain as true charity, in being a gift completely anonymous to men and bereft of self-interest, so that or may be offered entirely and exclusively as a sacrifice up to God. Thus, only as an act of “anonymous charity,” as without deriving any personal profit, gain, honor, or acclaim, may any such good deed, token of respect, or act of good conscience be recognized in God’s Eyes💠 as being truly a gift up to Him and to Him alone, in all the undefiled purity of legitimate altruism, in being unsullied by any conflicting personal benefit or the competing praises of man.

In being innocent but knowing of true wretchedness, wrongfully, and suffering unjustly for the sins of others but nonetheless shouldering it, whilst wishing only to preserve them from the harm of their own sins, one has the golden opportunity to make the most perfect sacrifice, through the unblemished purity of heart that is the “goodwill” of perfect, sacrificial Christian charity, or anonymous and altruistic love. In this gift of self-sacrifice, offered in accordance with the Scriptures up to our Heavenly Father, in being so martyred for this one cause, as in the name of love and for God’s and for righteousness’s sake, one may receive the golden recompense of that same divine love of God issued back, in the holy House💠 of the soul💠, built of virtuous integrity as the Kingdom💠 of God within.

All I want is God. However, if I ever let on to my fellow man what I do for His sake, then I risk showing off my work and efforts to mankind, and in receiving any of their approval for my strivings, I could not then ever know for certain if it were for God, or for my own glory, or higher standing, in the sight of man. Thus, to truly grow towards God and not simply towards my own ego or self, as by enhancing my own sense of self or an image of personal goodness through revealing any such good deeds to my fellow man, and thereby accepting that perceived credit as glory to my own ego, I absolutely must keep all acts of devotion or worship as secret. Only in maintaining a level of privacy, or anonymity, can truly selfless and sacrificial love, or the most holy Christian love of charity, that is of God, ever be wrought in all its purity, so that I can be sure that God alone has knowledge of and receives the honor from my noble deeds or acts of love. Thus, through the anonymous charity that only gives and asks for nothing in return, and with a singleness of vision💠 towards God, I may provide for Him the offering of a truly pure, and therefore sanctified, heavenly sacrifice, of my life, made in devout and single-hearted💠 worship, as my gift back unto God, of His very Own, perfect, pristine, Paschal, and undying,

With the unity, or centralization of my vast array of energies, to within the single axis of my mentally focused vision, firmly fixated upon the ideals of virtue in Life’s summit of altruistic love, all things finally come together as like unto the Δdelta of a great and eternal River of Life. Three different sights💠, as rivulets, converge in a holy triangulation in perfect unison, all looking up, always flowing upwards, and floating in the divine hope that is of God. These three little rivulets run aloft the riverbed in a rippling chorus of splendor, against the shallow standards of convention and the muddy banks of mortality, with that rebellious streak of white lightening, of the outlasting optimism which streams forth the northbound Nile, in seeking the things that are beyond this land, and above this world, as the true freedom that is only ever found of God. This Holy Trinity, is the amalgamation of the perspectives of three different Persons, all at once convening upon a single idea, which itself is also discreet, in being the selfless, and therefore separate, idea of altruism. This central axis of a mental focus, in being the very same selfless, or abstract, “idea space” of altruism built up within the imagination, but occupied simultaneously by three different People, thus constitutes an entirely new Whole, as a unique element formed from this chemical reaction, as a result of this combination that is greater than the mere sum of its parts. Thus, in the culmination of the prophesies of the Scriptures, the Godly ideals of virtuosity are all finally manifested within a single point in Time, in the unity of the Godhead, as the Triune God. Through the singleness and uniformity of direction from three discreet and separate 💠Eyes, through the unity of vision from the aiming of the strivings within these hearts💠 of three different People, all to upon the love of God, solely and in all totality, with a great refinement of perseverance and solidarity of purpose, all messianic prophesies thus come to fulfillment. Upon the alignment of the holy third person to the will of God, as altruistic love with a pure-hearted Paschal sacrifice, this holy third, as the Paraclete who proceeds, thus ushers forth the reemergence of both God and Christ. The Holy Ghost, as the Holy Grail, wields the sacred key, as that of the will of perfect love, to unlock the Kingdom💠 within, and welcome Home the Lord God and the Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit brings the holy and sacred, divine love of God, full circle, filling in that missing link to our Maker and completing the circuit of eternal Life, by connecting it back unto God. The Ghost serves to bless mortal human life with its predestined eternity by virtue of her holy connection, made by man back up to God, thus bestowing our lives with eternity just as our Heavenly Father is eternal. Via reciprocity, by giving that gift of life back up to God, with the sanctification of a pure and holy sacrificial offering, in being made with the divine love of a pure-hearted vision💠, as seeking solely after God, we are all granted the divinity of eternal Life that is bestowed through our unity to God, as God’s everlasting and almighty love.

This little eight-pointed presence, set apart as holy by the earmarks of a Paschal paint-job, is immediately recognizable as housing the favor of the Lord, from the symbolism of the lamb’s blood brushed in a holy whitewash upon Passover doors. The Star of Bethleham slides effortlessly into the trenches of the studio floor, lowering the sea level whilst raising the stakes, as the claim to her holy Temple💠 of the Lord as her Tabernacle💠 within. When she reemerges from those wooden pirate planks, walked Time and again in the distress signal of a red eye rescue flight, she raises that ballet barre with her to be heard on high, trumpeting God’s glory across the Heavens in breathtaking and untold-of heights, breaking wide open the glass ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

That little red thread, carefully suspending Gabriel up with perfect aplomb, holds her securely balanced upon her tippy toes whilst in the most precarious of perches. Yahweh, carefully orchestrating each and every move of this lovely little babydoll, a handmaiden carefully crafted and Hand-made as His Own personal angel and marionette, looks down with the cool civility of a gentle breeze as He draws her back up with His holy tether. She dips gently into the Blue Planet’s Petrie Dish of peculiarities after being cast out, in an ironically poetic twist of the wrist, as a sacred lifeline, lowered as God’s gift of divine assistance into the most perilous of any and all of mankind’s predicaments. Her “Strong Man,” the Lord God, looms just overhead, holding the shuttle of His eternal fabric’s grand design for heavenly creation, and looking on, as she beams His Empyrean Light forth into this black hole of His holy weave, illuminating the ins and outs of His wondrous pattern as a beacon of hope within the hearts of all mankind.

She immediately hastens to her feet, miraculously manifested out of thin air and still brandishing the bandages of her Cross, perfectly in step with the calling forth of her loving little soul into action. “What can I do to help? I’m on my way,” she reassured the little lost Lamplight💠. The trip-switch overhead is flicked gently on as her mission is fortuitously smiled upon, by that grimly dashing Maestro standing just out of sight, behind the Wizard’s curtain of the starry night sky, silently biding His Time as He awaits her blessed retrieval of the All-seeing Eye💠.

In determining at once to rescue the “evil Eye💠,” as the self-professed “lost soul,” from His doomed landing spot in the fiery depths of Hell, the fact that He claimed to be evil never served as a deterrent to her. The fact that He asked her to drop everything to travel through and endure the agony of Hell, just to pick Him up and rescue Him, even whilst claiming to be evil, never swayed her from her sense of duty or immediacy in agreeing to this suicide mission, this holy and quixotic Templar’s crusade of a truly altruistic knight errant. The little lady with the red thread, the holy spool of Ananke’s threads of Fate, plunged into the darkness of the heart💠 of man, within the gallows of the imagination of God, dead-set upon retrieving that little lost soul, to bring Him back home to her. It had not occurred to her to say no, and it had not occurred to her that He could actually be evil. She knew, with the truth of God inscribed in the innocence of her heart💠, that They would find a Way out…

⭐️”Rumpelstiltskin”⚡️👑
In order to make himself appear superior, a miller lies to the king, telling him that his daughter can spin straw into gold. (Some versions make the miller’s daughter blonde and describe the “straw-into-gold” claim as a careless boast the miller makes about the way his daughter’s straw-like blond hair takes on a gold-like lustre when sunshine strikes it.) The king calls for the girl, shuts her in a tower room filled with straw and a spinning wheel, and demands she spin the straw into gold by morning or he will cut off her head (other versions have the king threatening to lock her up in a dungeon forever). When she has given up all hope, an imp-like creature appears in the room and spins the straw into gold in return for her necklace (since he only comes to people seeking a deal/trade). When next morning the king takes the girl to a larger room filled with straw to repeat the feat, but the imp once again spins, in return for the girl’s ring. On the thirdday, when the girl has been taken to an even larger room filled with straw and told by the king that he will marry her if she can fill this room with gold or execute her if she cannot, the girl has nothing left with which to pay the strange creature. He extracts from her a promise that she will give him her firstborn child and so he spins the straw into gold a final time. (In some versions, the imp appears and begins to turn the straw into gold, paying no heed to the girl’s protests that she has nothing to pay him with; when he finishes the task, he states that the price is her first child, and the horrified girl objects because she never agreed to this arrangement.)
The king keeps his promise to marry the miller’s daughter. But when their first child is born, the imp returns to claim his payment: “Now give me what you promised.” She offers him all the wealth she has to keep the child but the imp has no interest in her riches. He finally consents to give up his claim to the child if she can guess his name within three days. Her many guesses fail, but before the final night, she wanders into the woods (some versions she sent a servant in the woods instead of going herself to keep the king’s suspicions at bay) searching for him and comes across his remote mountain cottage and watches, unseen, as he hops about his fire and sings. In his song’s lyrics, “tonight tonight, my plans I make, tomorrow tomorrow, the baby I take. The queen will never win the game, for Rumpelstiltskin is my name'”, he reveals his name. Some versions have the imp limiting the number of daily guesses to three and hence the total number of guesses allowed to a maximum of nine.
When the imp comes to the queen on the third day, after first feigning ignorance, she reveals his name, Rumpelstiltskin, and he loses his temper and their bargain. (Versions vary about whether he accuses the devil or witches of having revealed his name to the queen.) In the 1812 edition of the Brothers Grimm tales, Rumpelstiltskin then “ran away angrily, and never came back”. The ending was revised in an 1857 edition to a more gruesome ending wherein Rumpelstiltskin “in his rage drove his right foot so far into the ground that it sank in up to his waist; then in a passion he seized the left foot with both hands and tore himself in two”. Other versions have Rumpelstiltskin driving his right foot so far into the ground that he creates a chasm and falls into it, never to be seen again. In the oral version originally collected by the Brothers Grimm, Rumpelstiltskin flies out of the window on a cooking ladle.

👠👠”The Red Shoes” Ballet
The ballet roughly follows the Hans Christian Andersen story upon which it is based. A young woman sees a pair of red shoes in a shop window, which are offered to her by the demonic Shoemaker. She puts them on and begins to dance with her boyfriend. They go to a carnival, where she seemingly forgets about the boyfriend as she dances with every man she comes across. Her boyfriend is carried away and nothing is left of him but his image on a piece of cellophane, which she tramples.
She attempts to return home to her mother, but the red shoes, controlled by the Shoemaker, keep her dancing. She falls into a netherworld, where she dances with a piece of newspaper which turns briefly into her boyfriend. She is then beset by grotesque creatures, including the Shoemaker, who converge upon her in a manner reminiscent of The Rite of Spring. They abruptly disappear, leaving her alone. No matter where she flees, the shoes refuse to stop dancing.
Near death from exhaustion, clothed in rags, she finds herself in front of a church where a funeral is in progress. The priest offers to help her. She motions to him to remove the shoes, and as he does so, she dies. He carries her into the church, and the Shoemaker retrieves the shoes, to be offered to his next victim.

To “trip the light fantastic” is to dance nimbly or lightly, or to move in a pattern to musical accompaniment. It is often used in a humorous vein. As early as 1908 it was viewed as a cliché or hackneyed phrase.Grammatically, it is an example of a constructionally idiosyncratic idiom, in that it is impossible to construct a meaningful literal-scene from the formal structure. As such it should be viewed as a catena.

🌟This phrase evolved through a series of usages and references. The phrase is typically attributed to Milton’s 1645 poem L’Allegro, which includes the lines
Com, and trip it as ye go,
On the light fantastick toe.
⭐️The imagery of tripping on toes also appears in Shakespeare’s The Tempest: “Before you can say come, and goe, / And breathe twice; and cry, so, so: / Each one tripping on his Toe, / Will be here with mop, and mowe.”
⭐️This expression became popular from the American song “Sidewalks of New York” (melody and text by Charles B. Lawlor and James W. Blake) in 1894. Part of the chorus: “Boys and girls together, me and Mamie O’Rourke / Tripped the light fantastic / On the sidewalks of New York.”
⭐️Chester Himes uses a variation on the phrase: “Colored boys and girls in ski ensembles and ballet skirts were skating the light fantastic at two o’clock … ”
⭐️In 1967, English rock band Procol Harumreleased its hit song, “A Whiter Shade of Pale”, with lyrics by Keith Reid, that included a play on the phrase with “skip the light fandango,” casting Milton’s light and nimble dancing in a modernist perspective.
